What to know
JSON requires double-quoted property names and strings. Comments, trailing commas, and single-quoted strings are not valid JSON.
Frequently asked questions
Does formatting change my data?
It preserves the parsed JSON value, but rewrites whitespace and numeric representations. Duplicate object keys collapse to the final value. Very large numbers may lose precision in JavaScript; encode identifiers as strings.
Is my JSON uploaded?
No. Formatting happens locally in your browser. Avoid pasting secrets into any shared computer.
